Our Mission
Awareness. Resources. Support.
What do we want?
Awareness
-ER Doctors trained in high-risk pregnancy symptoms and care
-Globally recognized Awareness Day
-Having the much-needed conversation about the condition and why it matters
Resources
-Early cervical scans either offered or routinely done before 16 weeks gestation
-Doulas trained in antepartum care
-Hospitals recognizing doulas roles in high-risk pregnancies and working together for each individual pregnancy
-State by State Resources including but not limited to Antepartum Doulas, MFM with recommendations, and mental health services tailored toward pregnancy and loss-related issues.
Support
-Bedrest Buddies (i.e. trained doulas or even other IC mamas who have been through bed rest and can help support)
-Again, trained professionals who are aware and equipped to deal with incompetent cervix and complications from it
-A community of support per US Region (and then onto globally) including local support groups, online support, and ways to pair families with counseling
-Through funding, be able to offer financial support to Incompetent Cervix families whether to help cover a doula to work with their MFM team, or to help cover the extreme medical costs that can come with this diagnosis.
“No one can do everything, but everyone can do something, and together we can change the world. ”
